Snow grip
Snow tires with the 3PMSF icon (three-peaked mountain and snowflake) have shorter braking distances on snowy roads, which improves safety in winter conditions. To receive the icon, a passenger car tire must pass a braking distance test on packed snow from a speed of 25 km/h or a friction force test. To receive the icon, a truck tire must pass an acceleration test.
The 3PMSF (3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake)
Marking on the sidewall of all-season tires indicates that the tires can be used in winter even in countries where winter tires are mandatory. All-season tires with the 3PMSF marking are tires that can be used in various weather conditions.
