Teräs-Rengas’s step-by-step guide for changing a damaged passenger car tire:
1. Stop the car in a flat and safe place, activate the hazard lights, apply the handbrake, and put on a reflective vest.
2. Loosen the wheel bolts slightly before lifting the car.
3. Place the jack at the car’s jacking point and raise the tire off the ground.
4. Remove the bolts completely and take off the damaged tire.
5. Install the spare tire, tighten the bolts by hand, and lower the car back down.
6. Tighten the bolts in a crisscross pattern and bring the damaged tire to Teräs-Rengas for inspection/repair.
