Michelin Alpin 7
Description
Michelin Alpin 7 friction tires for electric and hybrid cars from Teräs-Rengas Oy in Oulu.
Premium-class winter tires for small vehicles (passenger cars and smaller SUVs). Feel safe wherever you go during snowy and cold winter days. The new tread design ensures grip on snowy and wet winter roads. Premium Touring Winter tires offer lower energy consumption compared to their predecessor, the Alpin 6 model. They are an excellent choice for drivers who value quiet driving and low tire noise, without sacrificing safety.
Maximum safety on snowy and wet winter roads.
You can rely on the next generation Michelin Alpin 7 tires for safety. They are designed for snowy and cold winter months, suitable for the entire length of Finland’s long winter. The new tread pattern of the Alpin 7 features more sipes, improving control on snowy roads. This friction tire, certified for use on snow with the 3PMSF symbol, delivers excellent performance even in harsh conditions. The Evolving Tread Pattern sipes maintain grip even as the tread wears performing at wet-road EU standards even with 3mm of tread left.
Lower energy consumption compared to the previous Alpin model.
The rolling resistance of the Michelin Alpin 7 tires is up to 9% lower than the previous model. This significantly reduces energy consumption, especially important for hybrid and electric vehicles.
M+S marking
A car tire marked with the M+S (mud and snow) symbol on the tire is suitable for poor driving conditions. An M+S tire is suitable for light snowfall and wet and muddy roads. As of December 1, 2024, the M+S marking will not be sufficient for winter tire use in Finland.
3PMSF marking (3 Peak Mountain Snow Flake)
The sidewall of all-season tires indicates that the tires can also be used in winter in countries where winter tires are mandatory. All-season tires with the 3PMSF marking are tires that can be used in different weather conditions. The tires combine the properties of winter tires and summer tires, meaning that the tires can be driven safely on dry or snowy roads.
