The history of Gislaved.
The Gislow brothers founded the company, named after a Swedish village, in 1893. Sweden's first tire rolling production line was established in 1905. The first Volvos were manufactured equipped with our tires. The millionth tire was produced in 1949. By 1970, the main export markets included Scandinavia, Japan, and North America. Gislaved joined Continental AG, a global leader in the tire industry.
